Following in the footsteps of his father, violinist Margarito Ramirez, who created and conducted what is now the Sinfonia Orchestra at the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory, John Ramirez developed the Concert Strings, Concert Orchestra and Debut Strings (now Overture Strings) for the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory SDYS Since John's departure from San Diego Youth Symphony, the training orchestra's that the Ramirez family created, exist in name only at SDYS.  At this time, John and his fathers unique and proprietary multi-tiered orchestra training program now resides and is thriving at The New Youth Orchestra organization.
